The Consolation of Israel

Various titles for our Savior are often used at this time of year: “Wonderful Counselor”, “Prince of Peace”, and “Emmanuel” readily come to mind. However, One infrequently used title, when understood properly, ought to fill our hearts with great affection for the baby born who is “The Consolation of Israel.”
