Hope Not Tethered to the Temporal
(Lamentations 4:1-8)

After expressing such amazing hope in the Lord, the prophet of Lamentations spends the last two chapters articulating pain and struggle of his current situation. Similarly–and crucially–we must never allow our hope to be tethered to the temporal circumstances of life. However, that hope also does not negate real pain in times of hardship.
