The Fruit of the Sober Minded
(1 Peter 4:7)

Peter uses the term “sober-minded” three times in his letter to the “elect exiles.” Each time, it teaches something significant about the connection between spiritual vitality and a mind focused on Christ-centered truth. To set one’s heart and mind somewhere else will drastically impact the believer’s hope, prayers, and resistance to the works of Satan.
