The Real Contrast to Works
(2 Timothy 1:9)

As we begin to examine what Paul describes as “the testimony about our Lord,” Paul uses some amazing language to show us the grounds for our salvation. While it is true that faith in Christ is the basis for our salvation and never our works of merit, Paul makes clear that there is something even deeper under our faith that is the ultimate grounds for our being made right with the Holy Lord.
