New SONGS Sunday!

A two-fer! We’ll be singing a “new-ish” song this Sunday, putting new (well…old) words to a familiar tune. “Sovereign Ruler of the Skies” was written in the late 1700’s and appeared in over 150 hymnals but has only been printed in once in the last 100 years. We’ll be singing its words (as published in a hymnal from 1890 with a few modifications) set to the tune of “Come, Ye Thankful People, Come” which we just sang this past Lord’s Day.

We’re ALSO introducing “Prepare the Way, O Zion” as performed by Fernando Ortega as an Advent song to our worship. As recorded, the second verse is unmistakably Lenten, but we’ll be singing a different verse in its place (and singing this version later in 2022 during the Lenten season). Listen to the video below a few times, then join us this Sunday and worship along with us!
